In order from oldest to newest.
These 4 were done to test displacement maps on the dragon. While it worked wellf or the scales, it screwed up the more polygon-heavy areas like his hands in head. Need to figure a way around that for the final render.. but that's far off. Probably mid September. The Real Skin Shader was also used on the characters here.
These were tests of the Real Skin Shader in various lights and such. While I like it, the occlusion isn't there. The most realistic shot is the rear-shot, in my opinion. It seems low light accents the Real Skin Shader. I should keep that in mind. Just in case you're wondering, Jacob stands at 6'6" and has a 10" flopping, curved, and bent erection, according to the ruler. Shut up! He's supposed to be my dream guy after all... what do you expect of a size queen?! XD
Anyway, you know the story behind this with my old post.
This is the second scene I'm working on. The posing took about 6 hours.. and it's not finished (in my silly self-deprecating artist's view). Again, the Real Skin Shader is in action. The character shapes here aren't quite final (a few changes have been done since and will be shown below). I haven't done anything to the faces... and I'm not sure I will in the end. I'll shift their eyes a bit but I like the emotionless faces with this interaction, for some reason.
Here is the Occlusion Master in action along with the Real Skin Shader. It took a lot of tweaking to make the shadows not look like splattered ink... x.x almost an hour. I'm still not fully pleased with the result here. They shine too much and are too saturated. I may just have to weaken the lights to fix that, though. This is the third scene I'm working on, by the way. Slightly less raunchy than the last two, heading more towards the sweet side (but not quite there :p). The (so far) final alterations of the characters are seen here. They aren't that noticable to anyone but me, I suppose.
I revisited the other scenes here, to test the combination of the Occlusion Master and Real Skin Shader. I'm actually surprised at how well the Dragon came out with occlusion added... but it still lacks the depth of displacement mapping.
UPDATE: Some testing hair. These only add 5 minutes or so to the Renders. What do you guys think?
Anyway... can I get some opinions? :3
